Objective

The Preschool Sports Athletes Program (PSAP) is designed to introduce
young children to the joy of sports, enhance their gross motor skills, and
develop a passion for physical activity. Through a variety of engaging
games and activities, children will have the opportunity to learn basic
sports skills, improve coordination, and foster a positive attitude towards
an active lifestyle

PSAP Philosophy

When kids play sports, they learn how to work together, follow directions and socialize
with others. Kids In Sports promotes the idea that athletics, when taught correctly, can
improve a childโ€™s overall development and provide lasting benefits that go beyond the
game.
Our customized multi-sports program has been designed to equip children with greater life
skills, helping them find early success so that they can grow up happy, healthy, confident
and more prepared for the future ahead

Program Duration & Age Group

  • The PSAP runs weekly with sessions held thrice a week for 35
    minutes each.
  • Age Group – Children aged 1 to 6 years old

Program Components

1.Introduction to Sports:

  • Warm-up activities focusing on Stretching and Basic Movements.
  • Introduction to different Sports Equipment (e.g., Soccer Balls, Basket
    Balls, Cricket Bat & Ball, Table Tennis Racket & Ball, Cones, Skates).
  • Discussion about the importance of Sports and Physical Activity

2. Soccer Skills Development:

  1. Skating Fundamentals:
  • Introduction to Roller Skates or Inline Skates with a focus on
    safety.
  • Balance and coordination exercises to improve Skating skills.
  • Fun Skating Games such as Skating Races, follow the leader, and
    Obstacle Courses.
  1. Obstacle Course Adventure:
  • Designing and navigating through Obstacle Courses using Cones,
    Tunnels, Hoops, and Balance Beams.
  • Incorporating various movements such as Crawling, Jumping,
    Climbing, and Balancing.
  • Encouraging creativity and problem-solving as children navigate
    through the course.
  1. Cool Down and Reflections:
  • Gentle stretching exercises to cool down muscles and prevent injury.
  • Reflection time to discuss what they learned during the session and
    their favourite activities.
  • Positive reinforcement and encouragement for participation and
    effort

Learning Outcome

  • Enhanced Gross Motors Skills: Activities such as Soccer, Skating, and Obstacle Courses promote the
    Development of Balance, Coordination, and Strength.
  • Introduction to Teamwork: Children learn the importance of working together, sharing, and supporting
    their peers.
  • Improved Confidence: Success in mastering new skills and overcoming challenges boosts self-esteem
    and confidence.
  • Promotion of Active Lifestyle: Instilling a love for sports and physical activity at a young age sets the
    foundation for a healthy lifestyle.
  • The sports portion: One sport is focused on each week before rotating to another sport. The class also
    includes fitness and cooperative games, as well as other gross motor skills development activities.

Safety & Security

  • Child safety is of prime importance for our Company and we
    adhere to a very strict policy with regards to the safety &
    security of every student participating in our PSAP. We follow
    โ€œNo Touch Policyโ€. Every Coach appointed by us has Police
    Clearance Certificate (PCC) checks and are trained in providing
    first aid if need arises

Program Implementation

  • Qualified instructors trained in early Childhood Education and Sports Coaching will lead the sessions
    with Multiple Sports like:
    o Football
    o Skating
    o Throwball
    o Basketball
    o Obstacle Course, etc.
  • Equipment will be age-appropriate, safe, and sanitized regularly.
